A History of Firsts

Continuing a long tradition of embracing new forms of media such as television and radio in the 1960's, Lieberman•Appalucci (former L•A name) worked closely with Apple and IBM in the late 1980's as one of the first advertising agencies in the country to deploy desktop publishing, produce digital video, institute e-learning and market on the World Wide Web. L•A Advertising

Delivering a uniquely creative, cost-effective and integrated marketing approach to building and sustaining a company's image and brand awareness for measurable sales results: logo design • sales collateral • direct mail • print • outdoor • television • radio • public relations.

L•A started producing newspaper ads for Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms back in the late 1950's; served notable accounts such as A&B Meats, Fuller Company, Mitsubishi Motors, and Old Dutch Beer; produced an award-winning annual report for Merchants National Bank in 1965; created an advertising campaign for Mack Truck's 70th Anniversary in the 1970’s; launched an ad campaign for Saucony Shoes; developed Bethlehem Steel's iconic logo; ran special events for Hess's department stores throughout the 1980’s; designed Penske Truck Leasing's logo and fleet of trucks; in 1997, launched the brand American Bank, one of the nation's first online banks; implemented a direct mail program for CIT Bank using variable-data printing by 2009; and in 2020, designed a multi-media mailer with imbedded video playback for Holiday Outdoor Decor.

Encouraging brand participation through a rich media experience and user-generated content delivered across a variety of customer touch-points: sales presentations • Website design • Web hosting • search engine optimization (SEO) • search engine marketing (SEM) • social media networking • pay-per-click (PPC) advertising • analytics.

L•A launched its first online marketing campaign on AOL, America Online in 1993; developed Bethlehem Steel's first Website in 1995; created touch-screen kiosks for Lehigh Valley Hospital Network and Interspace Airport Advertising; designed an award-winning Website for Penske Truck Rental in 1997; that same year, L•A launched one of the first online banks in the nation, American Bank; created a CD-ROM presentation for Just Born PEEPS' 50th Anniversary; launched an e-learning program for DORMA Group North America in 2009; implemented its first social media networking program for Hertz Medical Supply in 2010; launched into pay-per-click advertising using Google AdWords by 2011; and in 2023, published its first series of social media posts using Generative AI, Artificial Intelligence.

Continuing a long tradition of producing television commercials as early as the 1960's to sales training videos for large corporate accounts, L•A produced its first series of digital video on CD-ROM for Penske Logistics in 1997; incorporated digital video into touch-screen kiosks for Interspace Airport Advertising by 2000; as well as for client trade shows, lobby display and education; produced a series of YouTube videos for educational purposes in 2013; posted its first Mannequin Challenge, Facebook video that went viral in 2017; started shooting drone footage by 2019; was designated as a preferred creative resource in 2020 by Innovare Medical Media to design and produce digital display graphics for its nationwide hospital advertising network; and in 2024 started working with WDIY public radio and several other corporate accounts to produce their podcast series.
